The Wonderful of Bamboo Musical Instrument

Indonesia is a rich country in culture. Musical instrument created by the community is very unique, but produces a tone harmonies that was beautiful. From a variety of musical instruments that exist, some of which are made of bamboo. Even on October 1-2, and has held Archipelago Bamboo Festival is the 5th in Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) Bandung. Musical instruments of bamboo is collaborated with various genres of music, ranging pop, rock, jazz, hip-hop to disc jockey. Archipelago Bamboo Festival also features musicians from abroad.

1. Angklung
Initially, angklung is used for religious rituals that serve as a media caller Dewi Sri Goddess of Rice.

On 16 November 2010, UNESCO has established that the angklung as a world cultural heritage. In fact, angklung has made the world record for "Guinness World Racord" because it has successfully played the song "We Are the World" followed by 5000 people from many nations.  Record-breaking is done on the National Mall park-Washington Monument, Washington DC, United States, led by angklung composer, Daeng Udjo.

Bungko Angklung about 600 years old.  Angklung is now preserved by Udjo Ngalagena through traditional Angklung arts training program in Saung Angklung studio art.

The differences of traditional Angklung with Daeng Angklung, in addition to the scale of scales, is also present in how to play. 2. Sasando

Sasando currently being registered with the UNESCO as world cultural heritage from Indonesia.

3. Calung

Calung is a Sundanese musical instrument similar to the angklung. Unlike the angklung is played by shaken, beating calung way is to hit the stem of the sections are arranged according to pentatonic. This type of bamboo that is used to make calung is black bamboo.

4. Saluang

Saluang is a traditional musical instruments in Minangkabau, West Sumatra. This wind instrument made of thin bamboo or gutters. These tools include the class of musical instrument flute, but it is simpler to make, simply by punching holes in the gutter with four holes. Saluang length approximately 40-60 cm, with a diameter of 3-4 cm.

The virtues of the Saluang players are able to play Saluang by blowing and breathe simultaneously, so the blower Saluang can play the instrument from the beginning to the end of the song without interruption. 5. Jegog

Jegog is a Jembrana typical musical instrument, Bali. Similar to the gamelan but is made of bamboo. Physical form of half bamboo slats arranged in a row. Below, there are a bamboo whole but hollowed uppers as the hole resonance.
